We love crystal structures. Selected molecules from our group’s synthetic endeavors are depicted below, as rotatable JSmol representations. More cool structures will be added as they are obtained!

|Dichloropalladium(II) complex of a Se,Se-chelating ligand||Chloropalladium(II) complex of a Se,N,Se pincer ligand|
|Unlike its phosphorus analogue, this complex does not undergo CN oxidative addition at elevated temperatures, preferring to form this Se,Se-chelate complex.||The protio Se,N,Se ligand can be deprotonated by an amine to form the anionic pincer complex of Pd(II). The Pt(II) complex is isostructural.|
|Dichloropalladium(II) complex of an N,Se-chelating ligand|
|This chelate complex is more soluble than the derivative with PPh2 groups in place of SePh groups, and is equally effective as a Suzuki-Miyaura catalyst.|
