Welcome to the Ritch Group Website! We are exploring new frontiers in synthetic inorganic chemistry at the University of Winnipeg. Our group, located in the Richardson College for the Environment and Science Complex, investigates new ligand systems for the generation of new materials and for the promotion of novel catalytic processes, with a focus on group 16 elements (the chalcogens).
Trainees in the Ritch group become proficient in synthetic methods including Schlenk and glovebox techniques, as well as characterization methods such as NMR spectroscopy, chromatography, and X-ray crystallography.
