BBCS/CCSC and Department of Psychology, University of Manitoba
Opening Night Reception
Thursday, June 19, 1996
4:30 - 8:30 p.m.
The University Club
26 MacLean Crescent (Pembina Hall)
Fort Garry Campus
In 1997 the Department of Psychology at The University of Manitoba
celebrates the 50th anniversary of its founding. Coupled with other
celebratory activities throughout the year and with the Seventh Annual
Meeting of the Canadian Society for Brain, Behaviour, and Cognitive
Science, the Department and BBCS meeting organizers invite you to join us
for a casual buffet supper at the University Club for your first night on
campus. Mr. Tim Appleton, the Club's award-winning executive chef, and his
talented staff will prepare the buffet featuring Greek specialties. Tim has
been a member of Team Manitoba's silver-medal-winning contingent to the
1992 Culinary Olympics (Frankfurt) and is currently a member of Team
Canada. His work has made the cuisine at the University Club equal to the
finest dining in Winnipeg by his innovative and creative use of local fish,
game, and produce.
The cost for the buffet (taxes and gratuity included) will be $14.95;
the Department invites you to enjoy a glass of wine at the Club on us (wine
vouchers will be distributed with registration materials). If you plan to
stay on campus for CSBBCS or in any of the motel or hotel accommodations
nearby to the Fort Garry campus, you'll find the buffet a pleasant way to
start your visit to campus and to the city. An estimate of the number of
those attending the meeting who would likely attend the reception and
select the buffet would facilitate planning this event. Therefore, please
reply to the following survey.
