Research
My research is in the area of combinatorial representation theory. I am interested in representations of classical and quantum groups. I am also interested in algebraic combinatorics. I hold an NSERC grant for my research.
My Erdös number is 2 (since one of my coauthors, Ortrud Oellermann, has Erdös number equal to 1).

Over the past two years I have become interested in K-12 math education, primarily because I think there are serious problems with the Manitoba math curriculum and often with the way math is taught in schools. I have given a number of media interviews on this topic which can be viewed at WISE Math.
